Virtual Immigration Workshops

Have you ever wanted to see what is happening at our Southern Border but didn’t have time to make the trip?  Wanted to know more about immigration issues and US policies?  Sign up for the free workshops below.  Feel free to share link with friends.

We are proud to announce that The NCCUMC Refugee and Immigration Committee and Hope4Humanity are partnering with BorderLinks to offer free, in-depth, interactive, virtual immigration workshops. These workshops will focus on immigration and economic policy, border history, privilege, and frameworks for action. The workshops are open to all who would like to see the world in new ways and use the new knowledge gained to make a practical and positive difference in the world.

We will learn the answers to questions like:

  • Why do people migrate?
  • What happens during the migrant journey?
  • How do policies impact people?

June 10, 6:30-8:30 PM

  • This is the beginning session where we will meet one another and agree to the   standards by which we as participants and leaders will hold each other accountable and show up in the space. It is important for all participants to attend this workshop.
